BENIGN MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY BECKER this Features are similar to Duchenne type but less prominent. The onset of the disease may be delayed even after 10 years. The usual onset of the disease varies from 5-25 years. Like Duchenne type pelvic girdle muscles are first affected followed by shoulder girdle muscles. Patient may be able to walk but with little difficulty. These cases may live upto 5th or 6th decade of life or may have a normal life span. Cardiac involvement is less common and CPK level is moderately raised. Dystrophin level is normal.
