DISC PROLAPSE SYNDROME
DISC PROLAPSE SYNDROME …..| Degenerative changes in the intervertebral disc may give rise to prolapse of the nucleus pulposus which may press the surrounding neural structures. Symptoms and signs producedin these conditions are related to:
1. Nerve root compression.
2. Lateral or posterior disc protrution.
3. Development of osteophytes.
4. Congenital narrowing of spinal canal.
5. Ishaemic changes in the spinal cord and nerve roots.
