Eat variety of foods:
For good heath, the human body needs more than 40 different nutrients so only type of food can not fulfill the need these nutrients. So, you should always prefer balanced diet instead of one food group. You must complete your portions of carbohydrates, healthy fats, proteins, vegetables and fruits. Dairy portion is also mandatory for your body. But if you have done high fat lunch then it must be followed with low-fat dinner. You should maintain your high caloric food content with low caloric food content.
Replace saturated fat with unsaturated fat:
Fats are important for good health. There are two types of fats: healthy fats, unhealthy fats. The saturated fats are not good for health and these are obtained from animal sources. So, you should go for unsaturated fats instead of saturated fats. Eating fish 2-3 times a week can complete your portion of unsaturated fats.
Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables:
Fruits and vegetables are great source for vitamins, minerals and fibers. You should eat at least 5 servings a day of fruits and vegetables. You can eat fruits and vegetables as your snacks too.
Reduce salt and sugar intake:
The high salt intake can result in high blood pressure and it also increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. you can choose foods containing lower sodium content to reduce your salt intake. You can also substitute salt with spices to reduce your salt intake.
Control portion size of your food:
Rather starving you should eat in small portions. Skipping your meals especially breakfasts can lead to uncontrolled hunger and it also damages brain. But snacking between the meals can control your hunger. So, it is all about your wise selection of food groups.
Leave sedentary lifestyle:
You should leave sedentary lifestyle and you should go for active lifestyle which will make your body healthy and you will remain active for whole day. You should go for morning walk or you should do some exercise. It will reduce your hunger.
