MYOTONIA CONGENITA is inherited as an autosomal dominant disease. The responsible gene may be on the long arm of chromosome 7. Only feature is myotonia. It starts in early childhood and remains throughout life. Rest and exposure to cold increase. Myotonia and exercise reduces it.
